One-Click Add Feature

When you think "I want to remember this with Ankimo...."

A handy feature that lets you select text from any website (language learning sites, news, Wikipedia, etc.) and add it to Ankimo with one click.

* This feature is for PC only. On smartphones and tablets, please use regular copy & paste.

Setup

Drag the button below to your bookmark bar:

What is the bookmark bar? (Click to expand)

It is the horizontal bar just below the address bar (where you type URLs). It lets you open frequently used sites with one click.

If it is not visible:

Tip: Press Ctrl + Shift + B to toggle the bookmark bar. Press it twice to see where the bookmark bar is.

To show from the menu:

Browser Menu path
Chrome ⋮ → Bookmarks → Show Bookmarks Bar
Edge ··· → Favorites → Show Favorites Bar
Firefox ☰ → Bookmarks → Bookmarks Toolbar

* On Mac, use Cmd instead of Ctrl

How to Use

  1. Select the text you want to remember
    Works on any website
  2. Click the "Add to Ankimo" bookmark
  3. Ankimo's new post form opens
    The selected text is automatically filled in the "Question" field
  4. Edit the "Question", add "Answer" and "Hint", then submit
    "Hint" is optional
